This case study presents the creation of a cooking recipe website with a members' area and monthly subscription, created by Iotaweb using WordPress and Divi for the healthyebook-leblog.com project.
📋 Summary
The client and its context: a members-only recipe website
The project leader healthyebook-leblog.com It distributes cooking recipes, an ebook, and nutritional programs. Its model is based on a community of subscribed members who access exclusive content, rather than a completely public blog.
He therefore needed a site capable of managing both the publication of recipes, registrations and recurring payments, without increasing the daily workload of the administrator.
The need: subscription, private space, and scheduled content.
The specifications were contained in a few clear points:
- propose a individual monthly subscription to each member, payable via Stripe or PayPal;
- offer each subscriber a private space where to find your favorite recipes;
- allow the administrator to publish and schedule his recipes very simply;
- Maintaining the relationship with members: ebook, newsletter and self-unsubscription.
What we have achieved
We designed a custom website built on WordPress with the Divi theme, and access management is handled by the Restrict plugin. Each registration creates an individual monthly subscription, paid via Stripe or PayPal.
On the content side, recipes are written and edited by the administrator from the back office, with the option to schedule them in advance. For members, a personal account area contains their favorite recipes, accessible at any time.
The relationship with subscribers is partly automated: an ebook is emailed to users, and a newsletter system allows the administrator to send information or news to all members. To learn more about this type of mechanism, see our offer of’no-code automation.
